Ken and Kristin attended Anderson University together about eight years ago, but Ken seems to remember Kristin better than Kristin remembers Ken from those days. They were reunited a few years later when Ken would come up from Lexington to visit his friends Stuart and Erick Hilbert and Matt Hall. Kristin is also friends with the Hilberts, especially Stuart's wife Annie and Erick's wife Sara. However, it was after Ken had moved to Indianapolis that Kristin really started to "notice" Ken. After a couple years of hanging out with Ken from time to time, Kristin mentioned to Annie that she might be interested in spending a little more time with Ken. With the help of Stuart and Skype, word soon made its way to Ken. Thankfully, Ken was interested enough in Kristin to call her and ask her on a date. Their first date was at the "media garden" at Mass Ave Video. The media garden turned out to be a parking lot, but Ken had packed a lovely picnic and the showing was of "The Big Lebowski", so it was still a very memorable first date. Many great dates followed like Symphony on the Prairie and dinner cooked by Ken followed by Scrabble. (They are both huge nerds!) Soon enough they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
In the spring of '07 Ken's lease was up in Indy, so Ken and Kristin decided that it was time for Ken to move to Sheridan with Kristin. Things were going very smoothly living together, so they decided to add a dog to the mix. In May of '07 Ken and Kristin adopted Chunk, a Sheltie mix, from Indy Pet Fest. Ken, Kristin, and Chunk enjoyed a wonderful summer and fall together with friends and family. Then, on November 10, 2007, Ken got down on one knee and asked Kristin to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the happiest day of their life so far! Ken and Kristin look forward to getting married on October 25, 2008, in front of their closest friends and family. Thank you to all of you for your support of them as individuals and as a couple. They wouldn't be who they are without you! |
